What Is Judaism?!

Star Of David(picture to the left)is the Jewish Symbol.
Introduction
In the beginning of time many important people, or civilizations, made special religions that they could practice. For instance, Jewish people have their own religion known as Judaism. Jewish people, like all of the other religions, had many things that they did to practice their religion, such as their Holy Books (or sacred texts), holidays, rituals and customs, and the way that they usually dressed.
Founder!
First of all, Judaism was started off by Abraham and the Hebrews and through thousand years of their suffering, persecution, and victories, they are still known well for being an influential religion. Most people who are known to be Jewish should abide by the ritual laws, and make sure to be strict on the followers
about their attitude towards their ritual beliefs. Lastly,
it was founded in a place called Mesopotamia around 1300b.c.

Number of Followers and location!
In addition, the amount of followers that you could find out is fourteen million people. Usually, you could locate most of them with this religion in Jerusalem, or today it is known as Israel. They would be the type of people who believe in love and hope.
Holy Books (or Sacred Books)!
Next, the books that they would consider their sacred book is the Torah(to the left), this book is what they considered to be their bible. Also, the Tanakh ,was said to be finished in 200 b.c., is the Jews Holy Book. The Torah, is know as the five books of Moses.

Religious Holidays!
Also, the Jews just like every other religion, have many certain holidays that they always celebrate! First off, the Jewish People are known to celebrate The Sabbath which is a day of celebration and rest. Next, you could find out that another holiday that they celebrate is Hanukkah which means the festival of lights. To end with, the last holiday that every religion could most likely recognize is the Jewish Passover and on that day they all tell the story of the Jewish Exodus, or when Moses led the Jews out of Egypt when they were invaded and sent there.
Rituals and Customs!
The Practices that Jewish people practice is Worship and Prayer. Jews also usually make sure that they abide their laws, so that they can respect their religion. They are also found at times at their place of worship, The Synagogue, there they're usually worshiping the god.

Particular dress and clothing!
Just like the other religions, Jewish religion are known to have different clothing, The white robe that they wear is called a Kittel. Also, the Tallit and Tzitzit
is the Prayer Shawl and Fringes, and lastly, the Tichl which is the head covering for women.

Hierarchy/Organization!
Lastly, the last thing in my world religion project on Judaism is the Hierarchy. So first of all, the dominating person that would be in charge of all the spiritual beliefs is the Rabbi (which is the picture to the left). Then after him would be the High Priests who were restricted to the men, after them are the Sanhedrin, otherwise known as the Supreme Court in Judaism. Those are the interesting fast and funs facts that I found on Hierarchy.
Conclusion!
By doing my project, I can see that I have definitely learned a lot about Judaism. From their number of followers, to their certain type of dress code, rituals and customs, holidays, Holy Books, and even their Hierarchy! If you look to the left of the screen you will see a poll that I did to get some feed back on what you thought of my blog!
